Episode 17 of the Serious About Tech podcast: Galaxy S10 and more from MWC 2019

Galaxy S10 smartphones

Samsung unpacked the Galaxy S10 series in San Fransisco, California on February 20, 2019. The S10 series includes three phones this year, the S10E, S10, and S10 Plus.

They all have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 6 or 8GB of RAM, and 128, 256, or 512GB of storage, choices varying by model. The S10E has a flat 5.8″ 1080p screen, the S10 a curved-edge 6.1″ 1440p panel, and the S10+ a curved-edge 6.4″ display. The specs and design have both been updated for the S10 series versus the previous S9 and S8 smartphones. More specs can be found at Droid-Life or GSMArena (1, 2, 3).

The Samsung Galaxy Fold was also announced. This phone folds to have a small 4.6″ screen on the outside like a normal phone but unfolds like a book to reveal a 7.3″ display for more versatile smartphone use and multitasking. This phone will cost $1,980 and be sold through AT&T and T-Mobile in the United States.
